Every wig I create begins with intention, provenance, and respect for the hair itself.
This is not factory hair, not mass-produced, and not sourced anonymously.
It is ethically sourced hair, obtained through professional relationships, consent, and transparency — and used exclusively in my bespoke wig work.
This work is separate from charity and forms part of my private, professional practice.
I source my hair directly from Russia, working closely with a trusted contact named Sylvia, who liaises with families willing to sell hair with full parental consent.
The families choose to sell hair to support their own household needs, such as education or medical expenses. This is a fair and consensual exchange, carried out respectfully and transparently.
I know exactly where the hair comes from, who it comes from, and how it has been handled. This level of traceability is essential to my work.
The majority of the hair I use for my children’s wigs comes from children themselves. This hair is exceptionally rare due to its purity and condition.
In particular, naturally curly children’s hair often carries the very first ringlet curl — sometimes referred to as maternal hair. These curls are formed in early childhood and have never been chemically processed or altered.
This hair is:
Once used, it cannot be replaced.
All hair used in my bespoke wigs comes from a single donor only.
It is never mixed, blended, or combined with other sources.
Because of this:
To support transparency, I provide a Certificate of Provenance confirming the origin of the hair. Where permitted by parents, I may also hold a reference photograph as part of this provenance process.
The hair I source may be:
Each option allows the hair to remain traceable, ethical, and one of a kind.
Alongside children’s hair, I also source a limited amount of adult hair from Russia, which can be crafted into bespoke wigs for adults if requested.
This hair is selected with the same ethical standards, transparency, and attention to quality as my children’s hair, ensuring consistency in sourcing and craftsmanship.
Hair carries history, identity, and meaning — especially when it is worn by a child or adult experiencing hair loss.
I believe the hair used in wigs should be sourced with integrity, consent, and respect. Knowing where the hair comes from and ensuring it has been obtained ethically is fundamental to my work.
This is not mass production.
It is skilled craftsmanship built on trust and transparency.
Every wig I create is one of a kind — because the hair itself is one of a kind.
Once it is gone, it is gone forever.
That is why I treat this hair with care, reverence, and professional responsibility at every stage.
